Thank you to all those who joined the Town business meeting last evening. Below is a message from Moderator Brodich:

“My thanks to all the participants at last night’s Town Meeting.  You were thorough, insightful, and most importantly, respectful of one another’ viewpoints.  Direct democracy in action is wonderful to behold, and we are all fortunate to live in a town where people care enough to do it justice.”

All warrant articles passed with a couple of articles changed by amendments from the floor as follows:

Article 17 – final approved language as follows – Wilmot Safety Services Building – ADVISORY ARTICLE – To see if the Town will vote to have the selectboard proceed with the planning for design and construction of adequate and legally compliant operations space for the Wilmot Police Department.  At least three options will be planned and presented to the Town to be authorized by a future warrant article. No funding for construction is authorized by this advisory article.

Article 24 – final approved language as follows – Wilmot Learning Place To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for the purpose of supporting The Wilmot Learning Place.
