Wilmot Town Hall Update – Week 5, April 15, 2024

TOWN HALL PROJECT UPDATE – WEEK 5, April 15, 2024

NOTICE

  • Our rigger now wants to come on Monday, April 22nd. This will mean the lot at 14 N Wilmot will be very limited for use by anyone except construction workers as we will be trucking and stockpiling soils across the street.
  • The stakes that identify limits of construction will again be installed to identify the “keep out” area.
  • Once the soil stockpiling is finished, the “keep out” area will be reduced.
  • Lift could start Thursday, but it depends on the challenges encountered with installing the lifting beams under the building.

ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

  • Connector interior demolished. (see pictures)
  • Finished reconnecting Library lighting circuits that were fed from the Connector subpanel.
  • Town Hall and Library drapes removed for cleaning.
  • Architect visited the site and working on Connector design and roof build back details.

NEXT WEEK

  • Finish Connector demo and waterproof adjoining Library and Creativity Lab walls once Connector roof is removed.
  • Protection and securing of the Town Hall scenery drapes.
  • Rigger to move in Monday to set lifting beams and jacks.

SCHEDULED

  • Footer and crawl space excavation in May immediately after building is raised.

Concrete foundation walls to start in late May immediately after footer excavation.
