Wilmot Town Hall Update – Week 4, April 8, 2024

TOWN HALL PROJECT UPDATE – WEEK 4

ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

  • Removed restroom fixtures and pressure tank.
  • Safe (see picture) and Connector dormer demolished. Connector interior demo started.
  • Started reconnecting Library lighting circuits that were fed from the Connector subpanel.
  • Propane tank removed.

NEXT WEEK

  • Finish Connector demo and waterproof adjoining Library and Creativity Lab walls once Connector roof is removed.
  • Finish reconnection of Library electric circuits fed from Connector subpanel.
  • Protection and securing of the Town Hall scenery drapes. (awaiting confirmation)
  • Architect to visit site to start design of the higher roof over Library. (Library roof adjoining the Creativity Lab will need to be raised so ridge line matches new elevation of raised Lab.)

SCHEDULED.

  • Rigger to move in equipment the week of April 22nd.
  • Raising Town Hall sequence to start first week in May.
  • Footer and crawl space excavation in May immediately after building is raised.
  • Concrete foundation walls to start in late May immediately after footer excavation.

INTERESTING DISCOVERY The front wall of the Safe was 2 ft. thick but the remaining  walls and ceiling were only 6” to 8” thick. (see picture)
