Project Director Jeff Gill has done an excellent job keeping the Town Hall rehabilitation project on schedule – many thanks to him for all of his efforts! As he notes in his update, the Town Hall WILL be open for voting tomorrow. Exercise your democratic responsibility AND come see the progress that has been made. The Town Hall will be open for voting from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm.
TOWN HALL PROJECT UPDATE – WEEK 25 – September 2, 2024
ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK
- Reconnected water pressure tank.
- Installed hot water tank for Kitchen.
- Installed concrete forms for Town Hall front pad and pour pad.
- Finished floor framing in old Safe area.
- Removed temporary barricade in Library.
- The Town Hall and Creativity Lab cleaned.
- Started to move election materials back into the Town Hall.
- Removed storage box.
- Removed security fencing.
- Installed temporary ramps at the Town Hall and Creativity Lab. (see picture)
NEXT WEEK
- Bring election booths, tables, chairs, etc. back from storage.
- Install railings on the Town Hall entrance. Pad.
SCHEDULED.
- Complete Connector plumbing and electric rough-ins.
- Insulate Connector.
- Install drywall in Connector.
- New electrical outlets in Town Hall.
NOTE: As planned, the Town Hall and Creativity Lab WILL be ready to be used for the September 10th Primary Election. However, the Connector finishes will not be completed at that time, therefore Portable restrooms will be available for Poll workers and Library staff use.
