Wilmot Town Hall Update – week 1

Week of March 18, 2024

As noted earlier, the restoration project has begun! Our Project Director, Jeff Gill will be providing updates for residents with weekly reports to be posted on this website. These updates will be able to be found via the Town Projects link on the home page of the website. This week we are posting via the newsletter so folks are aware of what is happening. (Note photos at the end)

WILMOT TOWN HALL PROJECT UPDATE – WEEK 1, March 18, 2024

ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK

  • Furniture the equipment moved out of the hall by Highway Department.
  • Erosion and soil controls installed.
  • Topsoil stripped and stockpiled.
  • Concrete and general waste dumpsters delivered.
  • Portable restroom delivered for construction workers and one for Library use.
  • Construction fencing installed.
  • Temporary ramp installed a Library front entrance.
  • Town Hall furnaces disconnected.
  • Storage box delivered to 10 North Wilmot Rd
  • Temporary barrier installed at 10 North Wilmot Rd to segregate area for construction.

NEXT WEEK

  • Disconnection of Library boiler, hot water heater, pressure tank, etc.
  • Disconnection of Town Hall electric service by NH COOP.
  • Propane tank disconnected, emptied and tank removal by Irving Energy.
  • Install isolation wall at bottom of Library ramp.
  • Remove restroom fixtures.
  • Start demolition of Town Hall/Library connector interior.

SCHEDULED

  • Demolition of connector and Town Hall Safe in April.
  • Raising Town Hall sequence to start first week in May.
