WCA hosts candidates’ night – March 5

WILMOT – Would you like to learn more about your neighbors who are running for town office in the March 10 election?

If yes, then plan to attend a candidates’ night hosted by the Wilmot Community Association (WCA) from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, March 5 at the Red Barn, 64 Village Road.

You’ll have an opportunity to meet the people who are seeking an elected office in an informal setting and learn why they want to serve the town as an elected official. None of the races are contested. No one filed for the office of clerk/tax collector, which has a three-year term.

Candidates who will attend include: Margaret Doody, supervisor of the checklist, six-year term; Jeff Gill, moderator, two-year term; Alison Mastin, overseer of public welfare, one-year term; Gary Palumbo, selectman, three-year term; Al Price, cemetery trustee, three-year term; Virginia Lasonde, supervisor of the checklist, two-year term.

Tom Jenssen who is seeking a three-year term as trustee of the trust funds, and Heidi Nelson, a candidate for a three-year term as library trustee, have other commitments and will not be able to attend.

Light refreshments will be served.
