Completed week of 9/7/26
- Footings have been poured
- Walls have been poured and forms have been stripped
Plan for the next 2 weeks
- Concrete will be allowed to cure for a few days
- Wilmot Highway Department staff will be backfilling the foundation with crushed glass. This will take some time as the outside of the foundation walls and the inside of the walls need to be filled at the same rate to avoid putting too much pressure on only one side of the wall. It is estimated that 1,000 yards of crushed glass obtained for free from New London will be used for this purpose. Wilmot recycled glass is included in this resource (see picture of initial pile of crushed glass)
- Once the foundation walls have been backfilled and the glass is compacted, the site will be ready for the interior slab to be poured (currently planned for the week of 9/21)
