On Saturday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. the Flat & Center Theater Co. will do a staged reading of a play by Amy Sedaris and David Sedaris. It is a comedy, of course, and includes a fair amount of farce, but it also a commentary on our failure to listen to one another and its consequences.
Elizabeth Donderstock lives in a patriarchal religious community where she is not appreciated. She leaves to live in the wider world and finds friends and self-confidence. It turns out that “Liz” is more than just a maker of excellent cheese balls. Although cheese balls are important.
This is the first production of Flat & Center. The staged reading is directed by Wende Shoer. Cast: Jay and Linda Lambert, Glynis Hart, Charley Freiberg, Kayla Reed, Judy Thackaberry, and Dave Munn. Technical assistance: Kristin McCarthy and Bill Chaisson.
Willmot Town Hall is at 9 North Wilmot Road.
