Gardening in memory of Tom Armstrong

The Wilmot Garden Club board of directors decided to put their shoulders, well spades, into fixing up the garden around the town green gazebo in memory of Tom Armstrong.  Tom, who died recently, was a longtime member and cheerleader of the garden club.  He loved gardening with a passion and appreciated all that the club does around town.

If you would like to help clip the dead wood out of the bushes, weed and edge the garden area and spread mulch, let me know.  We are aiming for 1 p.m. on Friday, September 11.  The gazebo is dedicated to former Wilmot resident Thema Cuccinello who died in the 9/11 tragedy.  Working on this project on that date is particularly significant, don’t you think? Special today is the news that Tom’s widow, Georgann, will attend our workday which should only last about 1 hour.
Bring your favorite clippers, your smile behind a mask and your gloved hands to the town offices parking lot.
