15th Anniversary and Tree Dedication Honoring Victims of 9/11

September 11, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Town of Wilmot is planning a 15th anniversary memorial and tree dedication at 4 p.m. on September 11, 2016 at the Wilmot Bandstand. The program will honor the victims of the 2001 U. S. terrorist attacks. A plaque honoring Wilmot resident, Thelma Cuccinello, and others who lost their lives will be unveiled during the ceremony.

In 2002 the U. S. Postal Service gave the Town of Wilmot a red maple tree that was planted in memory of Thelma and other victims of the attack. The plaque will be placed at the foot of the tree.

The Town of Wilmot 911 Committee is trying to raise $900 to cover the cost of the plaque and the mounting of it on a granite rock. If you or your organization are able to contribute toward this expense, it would be most appreciated.

The Wilmot Ladies Aid Society has already pledged $100.

Checks may be made payable to the Wilmot Bandstand with “911 plaque” in the memo line, and may be sent to P.O. Box 72, Wilmot, NH 03287.
