Meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. in the Town Office Building with Chairman Ken Grossman, Vice-Chairman Brian Faughnan, Secretary Janet Howe, and Alternate John Bowman present. John was asked to serve as a voting member for this meeting.
Minutes from July 12 were approved as submitted.
Correspondence:
Notice of Aug. 21 annual meeting from Merrimack County Conservation District
Copy of handout on the role of alternate members of land use boards
Notice of Oct. 27 land summit from ASLPT
Copy of letter to DES from Bruce & Bonnie Bean (Tax Map 11:12 and 13:13) describing the completion of their restoration effort.
WCC has sent a letter to DES reporting on our site visit to the proposed Lunt subdivision (Map 8:19 and 19-1).
WCC has written to the Town Treasurer asking that $15,000 in revenue from LUCT be transferred to the Conservation Fund
Reports:
No issues pertinent to the WCC reported. John will attend the Aug. 27 Planning Board meeting, as the PB is holding public hearings at both of their monthly meetings in order to catch up on their applications. Ken will attend the Sept. 10th meeting of the PB.
Old Business:
Revised plan for Clarke subdivision (Map 7:29) received from P. Schauer showing the arch crossings and the reduced impact on the wetland.
Conservation Plan: Members reviewed Geoff Lizotte’s drafts of Sections 2 and 5, making only very minor editorial changes. Discussion took place as to whether the tax impact of any proposal should be one of the main criteria rather than an “additional”one. Brian will research the information relevant to Wilmot from the NH Wildlife Action Plan.
New Business:
With the absence of some of the WCC members, it was decided that discussion of the draft of the Dredge and Fill permitting process would be postponed. Janet and Ken will edit Ken’s draft before the next meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Janet Howe, Secretary
Janet Howe
