Brian will attend the Planning Board meeting on May 7. No Selectman present.
Old Business:
Brian has submitted his report to ESRI grant program. Brian has also tested the town web site and feels it is working satisfactorily. There are some items at the end of the WCC listing that need to be revised.
New Business:
Judy Hauck distributed copies of a proposed brochure, for which we thank her. Brian will do some more work on it.
Rick Lee’s newsletter was reviewed and discussed. Brian will create a format and “logo” to be used on all newsletters and will reformat this one. Janet will find out about mailing/printing costs. The finished newsletter will also be posted on the website. Chris suggested we have a box of “upcoming events” with each newsletter, ideally with dates. Depending on the cost, we would like to send a Newsletter out quarterly.
Richard and Ken Grossman will collaborate on drafting a procedures/check-list for handling wetlands permits.
Chris will contact the DES wetlands office to ask if someone from that office could come to Wilmot to speak to contractors, builders, and anyone interested in learning about wetlands permitting. Agreed to put an ad in the Shopper, send a postcard to those we’d particularly like to target for the discussion. We’ll aim for mid- to late May.
Janet has contacted the WCA (Wilmot Comm. Assoc.) regarding the CC’s participating in the May 5 town-wide roadside clean-up. The WCA would appreciate our involvement, and WCC agreed to help. Rick may be able to get blue litter bags and orange vests from the State. Janet will work with WCA.
Conservation Plan: Geoff submitted an outline created with Ann Davis from information gleaned from 5 other plans. Agreed to hold a special meeting to work on the plan.
Meeting adjourned at 9 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Janet Howe, Secretary
