Meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. in the Town Office Building by Chairman Ken Grossman. Present: Vice-Chairman Brian Faughnan, Secretary Janet Howe, Selectman Bob Levengood. Residents Peter Miller, Judy Hauck, Geoff Lizotte
Selectman Levengood swore in Geoff Lizotte as a new member of the Conservation Commission, and he was warmly welcomed. We’ll ask Chris if he can pick up three more copies of the manual from the NHACC.
Minutes of Jan. 11 were corrected as follows: Under Planning Board report, the property on Rte 4 (Map 8:19) is now owned by Russell Lent not Mary Howe. Also the date of the Feb. meeting was wrong. Minutes were accepted as corrected.

Account statement
Copy of letter to Selectmen from NH DRED Div. of Forests and Lands informing Wilmot that they are planning to harvest timber in Gile State Forest later this year.
Request from SPNHF to renew our membership. Motion made, seconded, and unanimously approved to continue our membership at the $50 level. Janet will take care of it.
Reports:
Budget hearing: Janet relayed some of the comments heard at that hearing. We will continue our attempts to work with the Planning Board and will invite one of their members to be part of the Conservation Commission. The Commission would also like to plan a dialogue with the town’s contractors after Town Meeting.
New Business:
Peter Miller presented information on the Global Warming Initiative. Motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed to endorse the Warrant Article on climate change.
Discussion took place regarding a parcel of land which the owner asked the town to consider purchasing, and it was agreed that further pursuit is not warranted.
LUCT: Ken will rework the information we have and create a concise fact sheet for distribution at Town Meeting. We will be as well-prepared to answer questions as possible.
The previously planned brochure explaining the do’s and don’ts of a Conservation Commission was discussed. Janet and Judy Hauck will try to get samples from other con.coms.
Conservation Plan: Brian and Geoff will spearhead this project.
