Wilmot Conservation Commission
Minutes of Meeting December 14, 2006
Meeting was held in the Wilmot Library beginning at 6:50. Present: Chairman Ken Grossman, Vice-Chairman Brian Faughnan, Secretary Janet Howe, Chris Wells, Selectman Bob Levengood.
Minutes of Nov. 9 were approved as submitted.
Correspondence: Liberty Elm tree project the Con. Comm. will not participate as it was felt it was not a proper use of CC funds.
Brian will write to the Town Treasurer asking that funds be transferred to a Conservation Fund.
Reports:
Selectmen: Chris and Ken attended and asked the Selectmen to support a Warrant Article directing the land use change tax (LUCT) be deposited into the Conservation Fund. Bob said he thought we needed to have a more coherent plan to present to first the Selectmen and then the town, and he questioned whether we had enough time to do so. The Selectmen will meet Wed. (12-20), after which well know what action we need to take.
Planning Board: Janet attended and obtained the final subdivision plan for the Taylor property on Cross Hill Road as well as the proposed division of the Kidder-Cleveland tract, some of which is in Wilmot. The Master Plan public hearing will be held on Monday, Dec. 15.
Wetlands Study: Four seniors from the Department of Natural Resources at UNH presented their wetlands study to the Commission and several townspeople. The written report will be circulated through the members of the WCC and will then be available for study by anyone interested. It is also available on the UNH web site. The Con. Comm. was pleased with the work done by these students and expressed appreciation for their report.
