The meeting was called to order at 6:00PM with Chairman Thompson, Selectman Levengood, Selectman Morse and Administrative Assistant Rhonda Gauthier in attendance.
The minutes from December 13 and December 20, 2006 were approved.
Accounts Payable and Payroll were approved.
At the invitation of the Selectmen, Road Agent Lee Ford met with the Board to go over his 2007 budget request. Paving and Backhoe quotes were also discussed but no decisions were made.
A building permit was issued to the Gregors on Messer Road for a new home. There was some discussion on whether the driveway was ever widened since the Planning Board made that a stipulation of the subdivision. The Administrative Assistant will look into this and put it on the agenda for the next meeting.
Review of Correspondence:
· NH Dept of Health and Human Services - Information on mosquito control efforts for the 2007 season. The Board doesn't see the need for mosquito control at this time.
· A request from Lindy Heim was granted by the Board to place a sign in front of the town offices to designate it as an historical site for the 2007 bicentennial walking tour.
· The Board received a letter written to the library from Ms. Saunders regarding her request for a mat to be put under the computer chair at the library. The Board agrees that there should be a mat under that chair and any others if needed or remove chairs with casters.
Abatements were granted to NH Electric and PSNH due to an error in billing.
A 911# was issued to the Thomas' on Kearsarge Mountain Road.
The Board approved the assessment and sales information on the Municipal
Assessment Data Sheets to calculate the equalization ratio.
The Selectmen reviewed a request for the town to have a winter parking ordinance, but
voted 3-0 against the request. The Board hasn't had any complaints about winter
parking but will discuss it if there is a need in the future.
The Board discussed questions they had about some budget line items.
Selectman Levengood shared information regarding the hazard mitigation plan.
The next Selectmen's meeting will be on January 17, 2007 at 6:00PM.
