The meeting was called to order at 6:00PM with Chairman Huntoon, Selectman Lee and Selectman Siranian in attendance.
The Payroll & Accounts Payable manifests were signed.
Correspondence received was reviewed.
Building permit applications were approved for Stowell on New Canada Road to enclose a porch and Carnavale for a new manufactured home on Atwood Road.
The Selectmen met with Dianne Madden from North Wilmot Road to review a wetlands application for a culvert crossing an intermittent stream. The application was complete and signed by the Board.
Matt Siranian met with the Board to discuss matters regarding a member of the Planning Board. On motion of Selectman Lee, the Selectmen voted 3-0 to meet with Matt Siranian in non-public session pursuant to RSA 91-A:3,II(c).
Upon returning to public session, the Board voted 3-0 on motion of Selectman Lee, to seal the minutes pursuant to RSA 91-A:3,III. No decisions were made during non-public session.
The Board discussed the glass and paper recycling at the Transfer Station. Glass recycling started today. Changes in paper recycling will start on Saturday May 15th. The Town will be using a different company, NRRA.
NRRA will allow us to recycle almost all paper, even the shiny inserts in the newspaper. The Town will receive money for the paper if it is recycled properly and only pay a small fee for the transportation.
The Selectmen appointed a new Safety Committee: Police Chief David White, Fire Chief Rick Gauthier and the Road Agent Lee Ford. The first meeting they will attend will be May 28th, 9am-11am at the Tracy Library in New London.
The Highway department will be moving the trees in the front of the Town Offices to the Soldier’s Monument in the next few weeks.
Selectman Lee will be putting a concrete slab in the back of the Town Office building by the end of May so the new generator can be delivered.
The Conservation Commission will be meeting on May 27th at 7PM at the Town Offices for their first meeting.
The Administrative Assistant and Police Chief will be working on a Town ordinance for no parking on Route 11.
