The meeting was called to order at 6:00PM with Chairman Huntoon, Selectman Lee and Selectman Siranian in attendance.
The Payroll & Accounts Payable manifests were signed.
Correspondence received was reviewed.
The Selectmen met with David Allen from Gobin Disposal to discuss ways to recycle more at the transfer station, which will result in saving money for the Town. The Selectmen decided to start with recycling glass again because that costs the most to throw away. If glass is thrown in the dumpster it costs 94.00 a ton to dispose of compared to 10.00 a ton if we separate the glass from the trash.
The Board appointed new members to the Zoning Board, Planning Board, Conservation Commission and Recycling Committee.
The Selectmen reviewed and approved building permits for Jonah on Shindagan Road for a greenhouse, Fleury on Evans Road for a 1-car garage, Ilg on Shindagan to rebuild a screened porch and Wilcox on North Wilmot Road for a wheelchair ramp.
The Board approved a Current Use Application for Fitzgerald on North Wilmot Road.
Current Use Lien Taxes were assessed for Bowman on Granite Hill Road and Szilagyi on North Wilmot Road.
An abatement was approved for Sanborn on Pancake Street.
The Friends of the Wilmot Public Library was granted permission to use the Town Hall on May 26, 2004.
The Board appointed Bridget LeRoy to the Upper Valley Regional Planning Commission.
The Board had a request from Ed Weaver to trim the trees in the back of the Town Hall. Ed Weaver volunteered to do all the work. The Selectmen discussed removing the fence per Weaver’s request but decided it should stay for safety reasons.
Meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Rhonda L Gauthier
