The meeting was called to order at 6:00PM with Chairman Thompson, Selectman Levengood and Administrative Assistant Rhonda Gauthier in attendance.
The Payroll & Accounts Payable manifests were signed.
Minutes from September 6, 2006 were approved and signed.
Building permit applications were submitted and approved for Golay on Chase Pond Lane for an addition and Atkinson on Kearsarge Valley Road for renovations.
A building permit application was submitted by the Thomas' on Kearsarge Mountain Road for a new home. The application was put on hold until the removal of all plumbing fixtures in the old house and after an inspection by the Board of Selectmen. The builder will contact the Selectmen's office when the fixtures are removed.
The Board discussed needing a second person at the transfer station on Saturdays to enforce the use of transfer station stickers. No decision was made.
The Administrative Assistant informed the Board that someone had dug up some of the pavement on Stonebridge Road. The Board asked Mrs. Gauthier to let the Road Agent know and see if he can do something to preserve the pavement.
Liz Kirby met with the Board to give them an update on the Soldiers monument. The soldier will be moved the week of September 25th. The Board asked the Administrative Assistant to do some research regarding the insurance on the soldier's monument. The Board wants to be reassured that we are insured especially while it is being transported.
The Selectmen discussed the vacancy on the Board of Selectmen. John Morse and Mary Kay Huntoon both showed interest in the position by submitting their names. Chairman Thompson and Selectman Levengood will meet with them on September 27th and make a decision after the meeting.

Joanne Bernard - her opinion on the proposed locations of the highway department and transfer station.
Janet Howe - stating her objection about a statement Selectman Levengood made at the August 2 Selectmen's meeting and asking why the Board rescinded the cease and desist on the Gauthier's property on 159 Campground Road. Selectman Levengood already spoke with Ms. Howe.
D.E.S - Determination of compliance with the highway garage.
Lorrie Sliter - town hall light switch is hot to touch needs electric work. Mrs. Gauthier will have an electrician look at it.
Danbury Planning Board - New Canada Road subdivision.
NH Dept of Safety - funds allocated from FEMA from the May 2006 disaster - Selectmen will hold a public hearing on October 18, 2006 at 6:00 PM to see whether or not there is an occasion to accept these funds.
The next Selectmen's meeting will be Thursday October 5, 2006 at 6:00pm.
