The meeting was called to order at 6:15PM following a Public Hearing with Chairman Siranian, Selectman Thompson and Selectman Levengood in attendance.
The Payroll & Accounts Payable manifests were signed.
Correspondence received was reviewed.
The Board reviewed the emergency procedures for the expenditure of funds for disasters. The Board will use this information in completing the FEMA forms for the May flooding.
The Board reviewed the plans sent by the Danbury Planning Board submitted by Green Crow for a fifteen lot sub-division on New Canada Road. A public hearing will be held by the Danbury Planning Board to discuss the impact this sub-division will have on the region. None of the selectmen will be available to attend this hearing and will notify the Wilmot Planning Board in the hopes that they can send a representative.
The Selectmen reviewed a letter from Edwards and Kelcey regarding engineering services for the Kearsarge Valley Road Bridge.
A building permit for Brunelle for a new home on Jonathan Drive was approved and the WCA received a permit to build two sheds.
Building permits were approved for McMonagle on Jewell Road and Grossman on Pancake Street for interior renovations.
Brenda Snyder met with the Board to discuss the transfer station's capital improvement plan which is due to the Planning Board by July 17, 2006.
Mrs. Snyder also informed the Board that the contract with Gobin Recycling expires in December but the town has to renew by November 1, 2006. Mrs. Snyder and the transfer station committee will be at the next Selectmen's meeting on July 26, 2006 to discuss the needs of the transfer station.
Selectman Thompson requested the Wilmot Road Agent meet with the Board on July 26, 2006 to discuss the road repairs needed on Granite Hill Road.
The Planning Board requested the CIP plan from the Board but the Selectmen all agreed that they have no capital needs for the next three to six years. A letter will be sent to the planning board regarding this.
The board discussed complaints from citizens regarding non-compliance with the zoning ordinances at the Gauthier’s property at 159 Campground Road. The property has been advertised as a nightly/weekly rental and is not in compliance with the table of uses in the zoning ordinances. A letter will be sent to the Gauthier’s requesting they cease and desist such advertised rental use of this property.
The next meeting will be held on July 26, 2006 and will begin at 5:00PM at the town office but the board will be leaving the town office to look at possible sites for the highway garage. They will return by 6:00 for the business part of the meeting.
