The meeting was called to order at 6:00PM with Chairman Siranian, Selectman Thompson, and Selectman Levengood in attendance.

The Payroll & Accounts Payable manifests were signed.
Correspondence received was reviewed.

The State of New Hampshire granted the Wilmot Volunteer Fire Department 28 portable radios.

The Department of Revenue approved the Town's request for an emergency expenditure of $6,000.00 for a down payment of the installation of a Bailey bridge for Kearsarge Valley Road.  The funding source will be from the unreserved fund balance and was approved following a public hearing.

The Board reviewed information from the Division on Fire Safety regarding training on fire protection for our community. Four people from the town will be attending the training in October.

NRRA sent a memo to the town regarding the transfer station haul fee increase due to higher fuel prices.

The Board met with Police Chief David White for an update on the Wilmot Police Department.

The Selectmen approved a building permit for the Lakes on Kearsarge Valley Road for a new home contingent upon moving the leach field 10 feet back from the property line to create a 30 foot setback. There was some discussion from abutters noting that the property floods.

The Board signed the quitclaim deed to grant Pancake Street Extension (a.k.a. Cross Hill Road Extension) to the Gauthiers.

A request from the Historical Society to remove a couple of trees from the Langley property and have the highway crew remove the debris was approved.

The Board reviewed some free recycling programs from NRRA to recycle car batteries and cell phones.  Connie Aldrich will do the paperwork to get the process started.  

There will be a public hearing on July 5, 2005 to request an emergency expenditure under the provisions of RSA 32:11 for the remainder of the cost of the installation of a Bailey bridge for Kearsarge Valley Road to replace the structure that was destroyed during the May storms.
