The meeting was called to order at 6:00PM with Selectman Siranian & Selectman Thompson in attendance.
Robert Levengood was sworn in by Selectman Siranian as Selectman.
Melinda Siranian was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen.
The Payroll & Accounts Payable manifests were signed.
Correspondence received was reviewed.
Gayle Irick met with the Board to ask permission to use the Town Hall for her quilting group. The group is willing to pay a fee and they will only be using it on Wednesdays at 9:30AM - 11:30AM for the months of April, May and half of June. The Board voted to charge the group $40.00 for the entire session.
The Board received an email from Chief David White to inform the Board that he planned to start working with Jane Hubbard on the Town's Hazard Mitigation Plan. The meeting is scheduled for 1:00 - 3:00 P.M on April 4, 2006 at the Firehouse. Jane requests a representative from the Selectmen's Office, Fire Department, Highway Department and Planning Board in attendance for the meeting. Bob Levengood will act as the Selectmen representative.
The Selectmen have received complaints about cutting timber too early in the morning and on weekends. The Board will be holding a public hearing on April 26, 2006 at 7:00 PM to limit the hours of logging operations.
The Selectmen met with Christian Hartshorn regarding the property on Kearsarge Valley Road that is owned by the Lakes. A site specific mapping of the soils, wetlands and flood plain still needs to be done before any decision is made on the Building permit.
Road Agent Lee Ford met with the Board to discuss problems with the town shed. The need for a new toilet and drinking water was discussed. Miller Plumbing was called to replace the existing toilet and a water cooler was considered for clean drinking water.
The Board met with Jim Orrock to discuss environmental issues with the Wilmot town shed. Mr. Orrock thinks that there may be contaminated wetlands. The Administrative Assistant will be in contact with the Department of Environmental Services to see how to approach this potential problem.
The Selectman discussed appointing members to Town Boards. Brenda Snyder and Bill Woodger were reappointed as Planning Board members and Doug Long was appointed as the Planning Board alternate.
Matthew Siranian was appointed to replace Robert Levengood on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Ken Grossman and Chris Wells were reappointed as members of the Conservation Commission and Allison Fauver was appointed as the alternate.
The Wilmot Recreation Committee will be meeting for the first time on April 11, 2006 at 7:00PM at the Wilmot Town Offices.
The Wilmot Building Committee will be meeting on April 18, 2006 at 7:00PM at the Wilmot Town Offices.
The Board received a memo from the Tax Collector asking permission to accept prepayments of property taxes. The Board voted 3-0 to accept the prepayments.
Building permit applications were approved for the Inn at Ragged Edge Farm on New Canada Road for kitchen renovations and Ridgecreek Properties on Kearsarge Valley Road for a dormer, a porch and interior renovations.
A Notice of Intent to Excavate was signed for Kenneth Clarke.
A current use application was signed for William Clough III to reclassify the acreage of his land.
A deed for Quaker Path was signed by the Board to validate the sale of Map 004 Lot 019-0019c.
